Following is information about Virginia Gamma’s Community Service and Philanthropy Projects.  Please feel free to contact us and help get involved in the community!

ALS: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Also known as Lou Ghehig’s Disease, ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord resulting in muscle weakness and atrophy, and eventually death.

There is currently no known cure for ALS, which makes this fundraiser essential for the hope of diagnosed patients around the world.

We hope that you will be willing to donate your time and money to helping us help researchers find a cure.

Coming this Spring, Randolph-Macon College, led by various student activities and Greek Life, will again hold its annual Dance Marathon to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.  In the spring of 2007, the event raised over $15,000 for Children’s Miracle Network.  Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to get involved!
